The Traditional Chinese Massage : Origins

What is our first reaction when we sense uneasiness, blockage or physical pain ? Our natural instinct is to lay our hands on the region of the body that is harmed.

Our fingers exercise pressure, friction, tapping, pinching in an instinctive manner.

For instance, a mother will naturally touch or massage her child when he/she starts crying.

It's from the observation of these instinctive auto-healing behaviours that were established the foundations of the Traditional Chinese Massage.

It was enriched and perfected as experience and time went by and became a very effective therapeutic method.

It was listed around 440 before Christ, an era when the first medical text of the Yellow Empire made its appearance (Nei Jing, Qi Bo An Mo Shi Juan) and was already put in the same ranks as acupuncture and above pharmacopoeia.
